Joshua 12:1-end–This chapter gave us a rundown of the kings that were killed along with their people, and all their territory that have become the lands of Israel. Each king had an extensive territory, and mighty warriors, but the LORD delivered them all into the hand of Joshua. The next chapter might be dealing with apportioning the land as the LORD commanded Joshua to do it by lot so that each tribe would be totally satisfied with whatever their lot is. It is an inheritance from God.

Meanwhile I would like to apologize for not having time to have my Daily Wisdom done for two days. I was busy with my secular assignment which was highly demanding during the two days. The work I do (teaching) goes beyond classroom especially during this pandemic period when we have to teach remotely, attend to them through email, grade papers, set questions, help them with one problem or the other. However as the LORD leads, I would continue to ask for the grace to make the decision at the right time to be a full time minister where I can devote all my time to the work of God. As Joshua was devoted to the work God gave to him, so also our Lord Jesus displayed his totality to the work His Father gave to Him. We could see this in the Gospel of John in chapter 4 after His disciples went to buy food and they were imploring Him to eat. He had just finished speaking to the woman of Samaria at the well. From verse 32 we read “But He said unto them, “I have meat to eat that ye know not of.” While the disciples were confused wondering if somebody brought something for Him to eat, “Jesus said to them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work. Say ye not, there are yet four months, and then comes harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, for they are white already to harvest. And he that reaps receives wages and gathers fruit unto life eternal, that both he that sows and he that reaps may rejoice together. ” (John 4:32-37).

What our Lord Jesus is saying in these verses is that there are many lost souls out there that are yet to hear the gospel and winning them to God should be our priority (our primary job). This statement is more true now than ever. The situation in the world now should make winning of souls to be at the top of our priority, it should be our meat, our daily food. The Lord Jesus went out in pursuit of them, he went from village to village, even where the Jews would dare to go our Lord Jesus went there. The Samaritans were considered secondary citizens, our Lord Jesus went to seek them. He waited for this woman in the heat of the day, a woman who had given up hope to live a better life, a woman who had had 5 husbands, and the one she was now living with was not even her husband. Can we imagine the state this woman was when she met Jesus at the well? However terrible her life was, she met the Savior that day and her life was transformed, and she went to broadcast to everyone to “Come and see the Messiah who told me everything I ever did.”

There are many people that are walking on all our streets that are in deplorable state and are just waiting to hear that the Lord Jesus loves them and can change their destiny if they can trust Him. I believe this is what God has called us to do, to bring souls to Him. The harvest is ready, no one is certain of what can happen tomorrow, this is the time to assure them that it is well with them. So the LORD helping me I am considering “letting Go” of this secular work that is not allowing me to fully concentrate on the work of God, and spend more of my time on Evangelism. Please pray for me that I will do it at the right time, and I will be fruitful in bringing lost souls into His kingdom. Jesus is coming soon, are you ready to preach to those who are yet to hear the Gospel? Let all of us put God’s agenda at the top of our priority list, and it shall be well with us all, Amen!
