Numbers 10:1-end –The journey of the children of Israel began, but prior to setting off the LORD commanded them to make trumpets that shall be used to bring them together. The chapter begins as follows, “Make thee two trumpets of silver, of a whole piece shall thou make them, that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly and for the journeying of the camps. And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee. When you blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward—- But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm. And the sons of Aaron, the priests shall blow with the trumpets, and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.” 2-8.

I have been to a couple of meetings where the Jews were present and they blew these trumpets and danced before the LORD. Now I know why the blowing of the trumpets has been entrenched into their system. The children of Israel are so different from other nations. There must be some patterns in heaven that are being foreshadowed here on earth with the sounding of trumpets for the call of different people and for God to remember them in time of war against their oppressors (v.9).

Paul mentioned in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17-“For the Lord, Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”. In this chapter, we see that the trump of God will sound to gather the saints together, just as it is being used by the children of Israel.

So when our Lord Jesus shall return, the whole world will hear the trumpet, even the dead will hear and rise.and the living will hear and join our Lord in the air. Though it is not in the Bible, the theologians call it the RAPTURE. This will happen before the Tribulation. My prayer is that whether we are alive or we have been called home, we will hear the trumpet and we will be among those that will be with the Lord forever and ever, Amen. Comfort yourself with this revelation that the suffering will end one day and we will rejoice with Him forever in His kingdom. So let your garment remain white and spotless so that we will be found worthy to occupy the mansion He has prepared for us in Jesus’ Name, Amen. Shalom!
