Leviticus 26: 1-end, is divided into three sections-1-13-God commanded them not to make any graven image or bow down to any idol, but to keep His Sabbath and reverenced His Sanctuary, and walk in his statutes, and then listed all the blessings that will follow their obedience, then from 14-39-listed the various punishment step by step that will be visited upon them if they will not hearken unto Him, and will not obey His commandments but despised His statutes, and break His covenant, while the remaining verses from 40-46- shows His merciful nature and lovingkindness to forgive their sins and return them to their land if they shall confess their iniquity, and that of their fathers, and humble themselves. He would remember the covenant he made in Genesis with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and bring them back to their land.

Fast forward, the children of Israel fell short of these commandments, were punished in different ways according to the warnings, and exiled in a foreign land for 70 years, and brought back to their land after they repented. We can see from this scripture that the God of the universe is Omniscient God who knows the end from the beginning. He knew what we human beings would do before we even carried them out. From generation to generation, man has been rebellious, and desperately wicked, but because of His love for mankind, He came in human form, lived among us, taught us how to live so that we can be brought back to God. For our sins to be forgiven, the Bible says, without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. So Jesus gave His life for us by dying and shedding His blood. I Peter 2: 24 says “Who his own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.”

Therefore, brothers and sisters, God knew all that you would do from beginning to the end before you were born.  That was why He made this provision available to forgive us all our sins because He is a loving God. All the sins, iniquity, and trespasses, that I ever committed were wiped out when my eyes were opened to all my shortcomings and I asked for His forgiveness. Because I was truly repentant He filled me with His Holy Spirit, my able Comforter, and He has been guiding me since then. You too can live a life of victory from now on if you can heed His warning today and come to Him. Matthew 11:28-30 says, “Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”  The power to do His will comes from Him, but you have to ask Him.  You need to acknowledge that you are a sinner, and that you need Him because without Him you can do nothing.

If there is any time to come to Jesus, the time is Now. The night is fast approaching and the end is drawing near. Let us rededicate our lives to Him, and if you are still struggling with sin, it means you have not totally surrendered your life to Him. His arms are wide open, waiting for you to return to Him. May the LORD meet us at the point of our needs in Jesus’ Name Amen. Be blessed!!!
