Leviticus 25:8-.55…And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof; it shall be a jubilee unto you, and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family….A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you, ye shall not sow, neither reap of that which groweth of itself in it nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed……Ye shall not, therefore, oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God; for I am the LORD you God…..”

The section that deals with Jubilee are very extensive, from verses 8 to 55, God defined Jubilee as a year that debt is forgiven, slaves are released, and sowing and reaping are forbidden. What a wonderful God we serve. It is really a package of total redemption from shackles, shame, grief, sorrow, or even poverty. The LORD promised to bless the year before the Jubilee three year blessing which will take care of them during the Jubilee and even beyond. They too should also respond with gratitude to God almighty by forgiving themselves of any past dealings.

The salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ is our own Jubilee. Ephesians 2:4-9  says “But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith he loved us. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved). And hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That in ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; Not of works. lest any man should boast.”

The epistle of Paul to the Ephesians explained what we were before accepting Christ (living but spiritually dead) and now that we are saved, we’ve become not only spiritually alive but raised (lifted) and made us sit in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. We experience this transformation when we allow Him to take control of our lives. Jesus came to set us free from our captivity, sin, and slavery. Just like the children of Israel were given the fiftieth year to rest from all their work, so also by grace we are given the power to live a victorious life putting Satan under our feet. Because our Lord Jesus is the head of principality and power, we are complete in Him.(Colossians 2:10)  It is a gift of God to enjoy all the blessings that are in Christ Jesus. Nobody can work for it but you can receive this blessing by accepting Him. Please give your life to Him today and enjoy the abundant life that He brings. Be blessed!
