Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our [gracious and majestic] God; Praise is becoming and appropriate. The LORD is building up Jerusalem; He is gathering [together] the exiles of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow] He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by their names. Great is our [majestic and mighty] Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is inexhaustible [infinite, boundless]. The LORD lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground. Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; Sing praises to our God with the lyre. Psalm 147:1-7 [AMP]

The title of this Psalm reads “Praise for Jerusalem’s Restoration and Prosperity”. The Psalmist begins by saying “Praise the LORD, for it is good to sing praises to our God”. I too join the Psalmist today to praise the LORD for the restoration of the “Daily Words of Wisdom” on this blog. It’s been a year, June 29, 2019, when I suspended daily ministration and planned to continue as the LORD directs. Looking back on the past year, many things have happened, good, bad, and the ugly, but in all, the LORD’s name is continuously being glorified. The LORD allowed the children of Israel to go into captivity for 70 years because of their sins. In the midst of the 70 years, the gracious and majestic God did not leave them there. He sent His messengers to them, comforting them, and meeting all their needs. He also promised to bring them back to their original land. Every promise He made for them came to pass. He is a great and matchless God. His mercies are everlasting, and His faithfulness endures to all generations. The Psalmist looked back on all that God did for Israel, and he says the LORD deserves all the praises and adoration we can give Him.

What about you? Do you believe the LORD that is great and mighty, the God that counts the stars and calls them by names, the God that gathered all the children of Israel from their land of captivity, and restored them in the land He gave to them, is able to do mighty things in your life, your marriage, your business, or your family? I believe that He can do all these, and even more, if you TRUST Him. Though we might have made a lot of mistakes or committed a lot of sins, because He is a merciful God, He forgives and washes away our dirtiness and puts us back again on the right path. Many pain we go through is because of our unrighteousness. Imagine the terror of the coronavirus we are faced with now. Nobody ever thought of anything as severe as this when we started the year 2020. While we are still asking questions or seeking ways to put an end to this, so many other atrocities were committed that heightened our sorrow and pain. Remember the God of Israel. He is in control of the whole universe. If we can praise Him today for His Greatness, Goodness, Lovingkindness, Faithfulness which He had shown to mankind from generations to generations, He will send the virus back to where it came from, and heal every family that suffered loss during this pandemic period, restore broken marriages, eliminate diseases, and restores us back to prosperity and comfort.

Please rejoice with me because today marks 24 years of my daughter’s healing from sickle-cell disease. I praise God because the LORD has been faithful and her life has witnessed a lot of God’s goodness and mercy since she received her healing. To God be the glory. Please commit your life to God or rededicate your life to Him, run away from sin, and allow the Holy Spirit to dwell in you richly. Cast all your worries or burdens upon Him, rejoice in His goodness every day no matter the situation that surrounds you.  Then you will witness God’s abundant Grace being released upon you to carry on to the end. Remain blessed!
