THE LAW OF THE SIN OFFERING
Also the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed, the sin offering shall be killed before the Lord. It is most holy. The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. In a holy place it shall be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of meeting. Everyone who touches its flesh must be holy. And when its blood is sprinkled on any garment, you shall wash that on which it was sprinkled, in a holy place. But the earthen vessel in which it is boiled shall be broken. And if it is boiled in a bronze pot, it shall be both scoured and rinsed in water. All the males among the priests may eat it. It is most holy. But no sin offering from which any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of meeting, to make atonement in the holy place, shall be eaten. It shall be burned in the fire.(Leviticus 6:24-30).
The scripture above that concerns the sin offering and is made into a law that must be adhered to is a confirmation that God forgives sins as long as we are repentant or ask for forgiveness. God is the only one that can make us holy, The sin offering must be eaten by the priest in the tabernacle of meeting where God had accepted the offering, and it can be contaminated in any other place outside the tabernacle. The fact that everyone that touches this sacrifice becomes holy is the merciful nature of God which takes away His eyes from our sins. This is the grace we enjoy today through our Lord Jesus Christ who is our sacrifice, He laid down His life for us, so that whosoever believes in Him will have his sins forgiven, and would then move from darkness to light. Unfortunately there is no one on the planet Earth that is without sin. Romans 3:23 says”For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and it is only through this sacrifice that we can be made holy or right with God”. The next question is “what is the faith of those who do not believe in Jesus Christ?” Romans says what we receive through Jesus Christ is a gift, and if anyone does not accept this gift, he will have himself to blame because the consequences of sin is death, which is total separation from God. Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Therefore there is no way around it, you either take the gift so that you are not judged according to your sins or you ignore the gift and suffer the consequences.
This is the reason why the Lord told the disciples and us in Mark 16:15-18 that they should “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” We have to go out and tell them so that they would not have any reason for not accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The Bible says the world would not come to an end until every one had had a chance of hearing the gospel.. So God is waiting for you and for me to go out there and evangelize. Let us make it a daily prayer for the Lord to lead us into family members that are yet to give their life to Christ and other people known or unknown to you but known to God. Be blessed as you do God’s work today!!!.
