A PSALM OF THANKSGIVING

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!  Serve the Lord with gladness;  Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God;  It is He who has made us, and  not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.  Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,  And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.  For the Lord is good;  His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations. (Psalm 100; 1-6)

Today is the first day of a new month. We have been privileged to pass through four months in peace and good health. We are saved by grace to be among the living and therefore our God deserves our praise and thanksgiving today being the first day of May. As my practice, I always want to spend the first day of the new month to reflect on His goodness and mercies over our family for the past four months. We make a joyful shout out to the Lord for doing it again. He is faithful and loving God. Just like Psalm 103 says “:Let all that I am praise the Lord.” Let my eyes, nose, mouth, ear, hand, leg, and all my internal organs praise the Lord, because they all still respond to the way He made them several years ago, that is, they still function according to His command. Praise the Lord.  He has not allowed the enemy to tamper with my being, and every weapon the enemy fashioned against me has not prospered, and will never prosper. God did the same thing to all my family members, both biological and spiritual. Our God is faithful. He is our Great Provider. He met us at the point of our needs, blessing us with our daily bread, and giving us clothes to wear, and vehicles to move about. He did not allow us to be involved in any accident of any kind. Praise the Lord. Our God does not sleep nor slumber, therefore, as we go to bed everyday He makes us to sleep and rest from all our troubles and then wake us up for the day’s activities. Our God deserves our praises and thanksgiving. He preserved our different houses from strange fire and so also He protected our communities and nations from attacks of the enemy. Our God promised never to leave us nor forsake us, because we are the sheep of His pasture. So here we are witnessing the Month of May, the month Christians dedicated as Month of Prayer for America (May 3).

The word of God says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “that if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then  I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.” Therefore while we are thanking God for His faithfulness over this nation, we need to pray to God to forgive us all our transgression, iniquities and blood-guiltiness and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. All that God hate are being perpetrated every day because many of us have become slaves to the devil. Therefore we hear of killings everyday in every quarters, people going to synagogue to kill those who are worshiping God. Those that have not been called are being sent to their grave untimely. This is act of wickedness, and it must stop so that our land can be healed. People must turn from their wicked ways to God. Many houses are in turmoil, families fighting themselves, and even going to groceries store now is scary because you do not know what you will meet there. It is only God that can deliver us from all this violence. Let us pray to God as that verse says so that peace can reign in our homes, cities, and nations. Pray for God’s intervention in every home to settle every conflict and pray that more people will know the Lord so that they can be delivered from the pangs of Satan.

Let us continue to preach to the unchurched or unsaved for God to have mercy on them and bring them to the knowledge of the gospel. My prayer is that the Lord will cover us throughout this new month with His blood and hide us all under the shadow of His wings. I pray for His eyes to continue to watch us everywhere we go, so that we will not take wrong steps and be ensnared by the evil one in Jesus Name, Amen. Remain in the safe Hands of the Almighty.
