HE IS NOT HERE FOR HE IS RISEN, HALLELUJAH!!!

Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.  And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.  His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.  And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.  And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.” So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.(Matthew 28:1-8).

Today Christians all over the world are celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. This is the victory that Christians have for the fact that there is hope for us that die in Christ Jesus, Our lives continue with Him after departing from this sinful world. The first victory that we have is that our sins are forgiven us, we have passed from death to life. Remember that even on the cross the man that was crucified with Him “said to Jesus to remember him when He gets to His paradise”  This murderer on the cross recognized Jesus as the Savior that came to the world to save us from our sins. He acknowledged that he was a sinner that needed forgiveness and Jesus forgave him immediately and told him that “Today, you will be with Me in Paradise”. This is the victory that we have in coming to Jesus. It does not matter how deep we were in our sin, if we can just repent and turn to Jesus and follow Him, we will be with Him in His kingdom at the last day. Please accept Him today and repent from all your sins and you will experience victory too in Jesus Name.

It is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ that gave us the total victory of being in Christ. The disciples were disillusioned in all that had transpired during His arrest and crucifixion. They did not have any hope despite the fact that He told them beforehand that this would happen. This was the reason the women went there in the early hours of Sunday morning to anoint His body which they could not do the day before because it was the Sabbath Day. On getting there, the stone had been removed, an angel was sitting on the stone, and the body of our Lord Jesus was not there anymore. The guards were like dead men, and the women were afraid of what they saw. But they were told not to be afraid, Jesus is risen from the dead as He had told you,  The tomb was empty, He is alive. Thank God for these eye witnesses and we have assurance that because He is risen we also will be raised on the last day.

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15: 50-58  “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.  Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.  So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”  “O Death, where is your sting?
O Hades, where is your victory?”  The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” There is no advice that is more than this . We already have the victory if we remain steadfast , immovable, and continue to do the work of God with all your heart and mind and soul. I pray for the joy of the Risen Christ to remain permanent with you all in Jesus Name, Amen. Happy Easter!!!
