THE LORD DIVIDED THE RED SEA
And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them. 20 So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. Now it came to pass, in the morning watch, that the Lord looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He troubled the army of the Egyptians. And He took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty; and the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians.” Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come back upon the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.” And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. Then the waters returned and covered the chariots, the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them. Not so much as one of them remained. But the children of Israel had walked on dry land in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. So the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Thus Israel saw the great work which the Lord had done in Egypt; so the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord and His servant Moses. (Exodus 14:19-31)
The LORD had again magnified Himself in the presence of the children of Israel and in the whole world. He said He would make a difference between those that are His, and those that are not. Though the Egyptians caught up with them, they could not drive close to them because the Angel that carried the pillar of Cloud and the Fire came behind them separating them from the Egyptians. Also God slowed them down. Next the miracle happened immediately Moses stretched his hand over the sea, east wind came and blow the water to the right and left making a wall on either side and the ground became dry. The children of Israel walked on the dry ground all through the night but the Lord made the Egyptians still to pursue them through the Red sea. Even though the Egyptians saw this great work of God, they were still bent in their pursuit, because the Lord wanted them destroyed. As soon as all the children of Israel had crossed over, the Lord commanded Moses to stretch his rod on the sea and the west wind returned all the water back to their original place, submerging all the army of Pharaoh.
Isaiah 43:19 says,Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert. ” The children of Israel had seen a new thing that they had never seen before. This was no surprising that the scripture says that they believed the LORD God and Moses His servant when they saw the Red Sea opened and they passed through on dry ground and their enemies were drowned in it. How else can God prove Himself that He loves them so much when He could fight their battle this way. Therefore we also should know that God loves us so much and He is the only One that can fight our battle for us. Isaiah 43: 4 says “Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.” We have nothing to fear except fear itself. Fear is False Evidence that Appear Real. Do not let fear trap you into unbelief. You need to Fear God and believe that God is Faithful and Just and will put all your enemies under your feet. God is the only One that can face devil and deliver you from his hand. May the LORD continue to fight for us in Jesus Name, Amen. Remain in His Love.
