Then Moses went back to Jethro his father-in-law and said to him, “Let me return to my own people in Egypt to see if any of them are still alive.” Jethro said, “Go, and I wish you well.”  Now the Lord had said to Moses in Midian, “Go back to Egypt, for all those who wanted to kill you are dead.”  So Moses took his wife and sons, put them on a donkey and started back to Egypt. And he took the staff of God in his hand. The Lord said to Moses, “When you return to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders I have given you the power to do. But I will harden his heart so that he will not let the people go.  Then say to Pharaoh, ‘This is what the Lord says: Israel is my firstborn son,  and I told you, “Let my son go, so he may worship me.” But you refused to let him go; so I will kill your firstborn son.’” The Lord said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” So he met Moses at the mountain of God and kissed him. Then Moses told Aaron everything the Lord had sent him to say, and also about all the signs he had commanded him to perform.   Moses and Aaron brought together all the elders of the Israelites,  and Aaron told them everything the Lord had said to Moses. He also performed the signs before the people,  and they believed. And when they heard that the Lord was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.(Exodus 4:18-23, 27-31

Moses went back to his father-in-law and did not disclose all that happened in the bush. This is what we call wisdom of God. So there are some revelations you keep to yourself. This is a great lesson to me also, because I thought he would get home to relate to him what his eyes saw that day. Therefore one needs wisdom to keep revelations that are personal to oneself until the right time to divulge the information. I believe that Moses was guided by God to keep it from Jethro but simply told him that he would like to check on his people in Egypt to see to their welfare. God also revealed to him that all those that are seeking to kill him are dead. This is why God told us in his word not to fear man who can kill only the body but Fear God that can kill both body and soul. Therefore at the right time, death took his toll on them for the people of God to be set free from bondage. God also reminded him to perform all the wonders that God had demonstrated to him before Pharaoh as a proof that God sent him. God was the one that told Aaron to go and meet Moses in the wilderness. The lesson I am learning from this episode is that God always confirms His word. He told Moses that Aaron would assist him, and then informed Aaron Himself that Moses was on his way. This goes to show that if I receive a message from a servant of God, I should also ask God to reveal it to me too, and He would. I should not necessarily take any message on a face-value. It is good to know that God desires to speak to all of us.

Moses told Aaron everything the LORD revealed to him and also the signs that God showed him. They both gathered all the elders of Israel and Aaron now delivered the message to them. They also performed the signs before the people. This brought joy to them that the Lord remembered them and was ready to deliver them. The Bible says in Isaiah 49:13-16 ” Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains!  For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me,  the Lord has forgotten me.”  “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!  See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;  your walls are ever before me.” This scripture always comforts me in the sense that being a mother, the welfare of my children is my concern, and I have their names in my heart. I think about them all the time. If I am able to do this, my heavenly father says He does more for us because He created us and cannot forget us. He wrote our names on the palms of his Hand, the mighty Hand that holds the earth for thousands of years and it had not slipped from His Hand. He knows us and sees our misery and He is able to deliver us from all our problems This is why we need to be patient when dealing with God because He has time under His control and He is the only Deliverer. Your case has a number and very soon it will get to your turn, and people will rejoice with you because your case will receive settlement that will favor you in Jesus Name, Amen. Be blessed.
