In appreciation of the God that owns the whole universe, we are using the write up of today to thank Him for bringing us to the second month of the year. So many lives have been taken during the month of January, and we that are remaining are here by the special grace of God. We are not better than those that are already gone. That is why reading through the book of Genesis and learning about the love of God toward us, we need to pause and really thank Him this morning, for His love and mercy that endure forever. He made us to travel every day in peace as we move through different roads while we go to work, to school, to store, and also travel in the air to different places, the Lord is indeed worthy of our praises. He is in charge of the weather, whether cold or hot, and He has been so faithful in helping us to regulate the weather so that we don’t get to unbearable situations. Our God is a good God. Even with the weather and the “shut-down” of the government, He made a way for many of those affected and they were still able to feed their families. He is still providing food on the table, and helping to make ends meet. The sun shines as he commands it, so also the air that we breathe is still abundant. When we think of His goodness upon us all, we can shout on top of our voices to let Him know how much we appreciate Him.

Psalm 100:1-5 declares, “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD  with gladness, come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD  He is God, It is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves, we are his people, and the sheep of His .pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.”

Therefore, brothers and sisters, I rejoice with you for being alive today and enjoying the goodness of God in the land of the living. Let us continue to appreciate God for His faithfulness to us all. Even if we have lost loved ones, we are certain that they are with the LORD if they have lived their life in the LORD. Death is simply a transition from this life of wretchedness to a place of glory where Jesus Christ is the Sun. It is a place where there is no tears, no struggle, no pain, no sorrow, no more sickness, but where the Lord Jesus is enthroned as the King of kings and the LORD of Lords. So those of us remaining, let us appreciate our God, and also ask for continuous grace to obey His commandments so that when it is our turn to leave this earth, we will also reign with Him in that glorious place.

I pray that this new month, February, will be a successful, peaceful and enjoyable month for all of us. No evil shall befall any of us. We will continue to be under the shadow of the almighty where we will be covered with His feathers. Whatever door we have been knocking on, the LORD will open those doors unto us this month, and more grace will be released upon us to walk with God as Abraham did. Happy New Month. God bless you all.
