It is good to know that God’s love for us is beyond comprehension.  The first thing that Noah did was to show appreciation to the Almighty God after the flood for sparing his life and the lives of his loved ones. He built an altar to the LORD and there he sacrificed as burnt offerings the animals and birds that had been approved for that purpose. Genesis 8:21-22 says “And the LORD was pleased with the aroma of the sacrifice and said to Himself, I will never again curse the ground because of the human race even though everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood, I will never again destroy all living things. As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.” He followed His promise with a covenant of Rainbow in the clouds to assure us that His promise stands forever.

Because the LORD was pleased with Noah, God’s mind was changed towards human race and that provoked blessings instead of curse. The LORD promised  “never” to curse the ground again and “never” to destroy all living things. again. God is a promise-keeper, and because He had pronounced it I believe everything came back to normal. All the seasons still remain as He originally planned them. We see the rainbow as promised whenever the rain seems to be threatening towards life destruction. The LORD knows our hearts still bend towards evil, but He still decided to continue with this human race, and never again will he send flood waters to wipe out the human race. God knew that though He was starting afresh with a perfect man Noah, it was not going to  get better. People are still going to conceive evil and manifest their wicked acts in different ways. Nevertheless He decided to tolerate human behavior with localized judgment here and there until his eternal plan unfolds. As we will continue to see, there were many ways God used to judge people who sinned against Him. But God’s love for human race has stood the test of time.  He loves us unconditionally despite our sinful nature, He allows us to plant and harvest, enjoying His general Grace (Blessings) despite our wickedness. He did not like our sins but chastises us (corrects us) with some measures that will bring us back to Him..

I am among those who have received His blessings despite my multitude of sins. I did not deserve all that God did for me but looking back now , I was able to know where I had fallen. I am grateful that He spared my life and my marriage, and my relationship with Him. Today I am able to advise people of God to take heed so that they do not fall into the same trap.  He alone decides the vessel He wants to use and when He wants. His arms are always open to receive us no matter what we have done. Because I was once lost, but now I am found, I am able to pray for those who are currently lost and need to find God again (prodigal children) and also  pray for those that are yet to know Him. God is always ready to forgive any sinner that comes to Him. If you have wandered away from God’s presence because of sin, please retrace your steps and come back to Him. Do not take your blessings as a sign that he loves what you are doing. He is only tolerating you but He is still waiting for you to make it right.  If you have not given your life to Him, please do so today because He wants you to enjoy Him here in this world and also enjoy Him in the world to come.  Since we do not know the hour of His coming, it only makes sense to be ready like the Rescuers (The Red Cross, 911, The Fire Fighters and all others)  are always ready to run to the scene of disasters.

I pray the LORD will count us worthy to enjoy His kingdom in Jesus Name, Amen. Stay Blessed.
