When Satan tempted Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden and caused their downfall, little did he know that God had another plan to restore His people back to Himself. He thought that the end of mankind had come and because they had sinned, there was no remedy and they would be condemned for eternity like he was. But God proved to him that He has the final say. He punished them for what they did, but still showed His unconditional love by clothing their shame before sending them out of the garden. Genesis 3:15 declares to the serpent; “And I will put enmity between your seed and her Seed. He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel” The enmity was clearly revealed in the book of Revelation chapter 12 and it reads “…And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days….Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman. and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.(Rev. 12:4-6, 13-17).

The Scripture tells us that the serpent did not want the Child to be born because he knew that the Child had been given the power to rule the world where he now dominates. But Praise be to God Almighty that the plan of God prevailed. The Lord Jesus came to the earth and we are celebrating His first entry into the world today. He came thousands of years ago primarily to purify us from the bad blood that serpent had poisoned us with through our disobedience in the garden of Eden. That is why salvation is only through  our Lord Jesus Christ who went to the Cross to bruise the serpent’s head for us.  Revelation 12:10-11 says, ” Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before God day and night  has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

Even though the serpent is still persecuting the Christians that are obedient to the commandments of God, let us continue to celebrate the remembrance of the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ today because through Him we became overcomers.  We have been set free from all the devices of the serpent to entrap us as he did in the garden of Eden. We are more knowledgeable now that our Lord Jesus had given us power over him. Luke 10:19 says “And He said unto them, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”. So we should rejoice that our Lord Jesus came to the earth so that we could demolish every power of the enemy.

Glory Be to God in the Highest. Enjoy your Christmas day and continue to be grateful to God for the Love that He has for mankind. Happy Celebration. If the Lord tarries his coming, we will celebrate more of this day in Jesus Name, Amen. God bless you all.
