The bible says “The name of the LORD God is a STRONG TOWER, the righteous runs into it and is safe. As I was driving to Church yesterday, the woman on the Radio was advising us to be on the look out for new comers that will come to the church. She said we should do our best to welcome these new ones so that they will come next Sunday, as these ones are coming now because of the season we are in. Many of them have abandoned churches and they only present themselves at Christmas and New Year  period. Why do people consider coming to church especially during the new year’s eve? They believe it is the best time to commit themselves to the hand of God and that will take care of the rest of the year. As delicate as this habit of one-time commitment to coming to church is, I still thank God for the residual knowledge of God that is in them. They are aware that the place to run to is under the “Umbrella of Jesus”  where there is safety and comfort. Unfortunately the bible says we must not forsake the assembly of each other on a constant basis.

Psalm 91 says that “he that dwells under the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, in Him will I trust”  The Name of the LORD is the Strong Tower that can keep us safe from all the devices of the evil one. But do you believe in this Name, and what the Name can do? Do you know that the Name of the LORD Jesus is the only name given to us under the heavens for us to call on and be saved? What is my relationship to the person that bears this Name? Do I bring myself under his Lordship at all times and obey all his commandments?  Do I recognize that everything is under his control? Year 2019 is about to roll in, and we need to put all that we are and have under the Strong Tower, where safety is assured. We need to rededicate ourselves to leaning on this Name as it is the only Name that can put all our enemies under our feet. I listened to an interview with an Ex-Satanist who got converted when he could not destroy a christian woman because her God had made an hedge around her which Satan has no power over. This was also the story of Job all through his life before God gave Satan permission to afflict him. This confirms the promise in Isaiah 54:17 that says “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper. And every tongue that shall rise up against thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their righteousness is of Me, saith the  LORD.”  Every day we should be placing ourselves and all our loved ones under the shadow of the Almighty and do not do anything that will take us out of the coverage. The LORD knows those who are His, and let us  be law abiding for Him to continue to keep us well secured inside the Strong Tower. May the LORD keep us to the end in Jesus Name, Amen.
