FATHER OF GLORY
Psalm 19 starts by saying “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows his handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.” We are also declaring his magnificence at our own end for all that He has done and He is still doing. Truly the wonders of his work is astonishing. What we read in the bible has proven undoubtedly that He is the only God, because we hear of so many wonders in our own generation. What is medically impossible has been happening in the life of those that believe in Him. That is why He will continue to get all the glory and all the adoration for who He is. The world is His, and all of us that are created by Him. All of his creations are with glory which is what makes the world full of his glory. The wonders of the natural things we can see are phenomenal. If the wonders of the physical world we live in is like this, one can only imagine the glory of the heaven where he resides. The only Holy God. The only Compassionate God. The only Merciful God. We call Him, “Omnipresent (Present everywhere), Omniscient (All knowing), and Omnipotent (All powerful). The One Who was, Who is and Who is to come. Glory be to His Name.
He was the One that put Himself in a woman and came to earth to live like us. The bible says “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14). He presented Himself to the world in a very humble form. This month of December, we shall be remembering the time He came to the world in human form, as Jesus. We shall be celebrating with songs and festivities the glory of God as seen in the only begotten Son of God. As part of the mystery of God, a church was established as the body of Christ through which the whole world was joined together, whether Jew or Gentile. He (Jesus Christ) being the head of His church watches over his body so that He could present it blameless and spotless to the Father at the end. He purchased the members of the body (church) with His blood through his death on the cross. Before his earthly departure he prayed thus, “I do not pray for these (his disciples) alone, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they all may be ONE, as You, Father, are in me, and I in You; that they also may be ONE in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave me I have given them, that they may be ONE just as We are ONE; I in them, and You in Me, that they may be made perfect in ONE, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world has not known You, but I have known You, and these have known that You sent Me, And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” (John 17:20-26).
From the prayers of our Lord Jesus Christ, the body of Christ must unite together and be ONE in Him. It is the unity of the brethren that bring glory to Him. It is this unity that will make the world to know that Jesus Christ is the One sent to save the world. The love of God that we display between ourselves will encourage the nonbelievers to be attracted to our Lord Jesus Christ and they would be able to give their life to Him. Do you want Jesus Christ to be glorified in your life? If Yes, you should be determined from today that you will live as Jesus lived, sacrificing His life for humanity because of love. If the love of God is in us, it will be easy to love other people, because God loves the world and He gave us His Son, and His Son loves us so much and He gave Himself for us. He had already given us that grace to love one another, by filling us up with Himself. That was why He said without Him we can do nothing, but we can do ALL things through Him that strengthens us. As we enter into the last month of the year 2018, we should endeavor to PUT OFF the works of the flesh which are anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of our mouth, lying and all other evil deeds. but PUT ON, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering, bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another , even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things the scripture says, PUT ON LOVE which is the bond of perfection. (Colossians 3;8-14). Living with this frame of mind, you are bringing glory to our Lord Jesus who purchased our eternal life with his blood. This is how we can bring glory to the Father of glory. He has gone to prepare a place for us so that where he is, we can be there also, therefore just like Jesus lived an obedient life, we should also live the same way. Remember, every day we are moving nearer to his return, He must meet us blameless and spotless children of God so that our lives can bring ALL the GLORY to Him. Happy New Month. All the blessings of this month shall be ours in Jesus Name AMEN.
