Exodus 4:10-12,,And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant, but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the LORD said unto him “Who hath made man’s mouth ? Or Who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

The above text was the dialogue between God and Moses when God drew his attention to a burning bush and gave him the assignment to go to Pharaoh and demand the release of His people from bondage so that they would go and worship Him. Moses gave so many excuses why he was not qualified to do the job and that he should send someone else..God debunked every excuse and the scripture above confirms that God was not interested in his excuses because He was the One that created him and his condition was known to Him. God created the seeing and the blind, the dumb and the deaf, and He told Moses that He made His mouth and tongue and He will be with his mouth and teach him what he would say. If you were like me that have been complaining about what you don;t like in your physical appearance, please this scripture is telling us that we are the work of His hands and He has formed us the way He wanted to and it is for His glory. We have seen so many people with different disabilities and they have been used mightily by God even in their condition. Whether they were born disabled from birth or their health was attacked and they did not recover from it, yet the LORD was in full awareness of their situation, and their condition was to bring glory to God.

What is important in this world we are in, is to recognize that we are a tool in the Hand of God, and it is His prerogative to use us just as we are.You might be black, or white, tall or short, fat or slim, you are the handiwork of God. When I saw Nick, the man without limb, and heard him preach about the love of Christ, and many souls who were able-bodied crying to receive Christ when he made “altar calls”, I just wondered the futility of life without Christ. Through this man that God created in His image for His glory, thousands of souls have been won into the kingdom of God. Surely he is fulfilling his purpose on earth. God rewarded him with a beautiful wife and two children (may be more I cannot say). Those colleagues of his that mocked him while he was in school, may have had nothing to show for their own purpose on earth. He did not allow his disability to hinder him but rather he used it for the glory of God. Some people who have no disability in appearance, that is, they can talk, see, hear and body parts are complete, assumed they have part to play in their making whereas it was not so. They were created the way God wanted them to, for His glory, and therefore man should not boast of the way he is, but be thankful to God for what God has done for him. God is the Porter and we are the clay.

God promised Moses that He would be with his mouth and teach him what he would say. Brothers and sisters, that is what life is all about. The presence of God in your life can transform you from Nobody to Somebody of importance. Moses recognized this and with humility he served his God to the end and the Bible recorded that he was the meekest man on earth. God spoke to him face to face. He was unlike other prophets of God that received intuition by vision, or dream, God spoke to him face to face and fights for him when even his sister and brother (Miriam, and Aaron) had a minor disagreement with him. Numbers 12:1-16 reads “And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because he had married the Ethiopian woman. And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? Hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it. (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.). And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam….And He said, Hear now my words; If there be a prophet among you , I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark species, and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold, wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them and he departed. Miriam became leprous as a result and was shut in for 7 days before she received her healing”

When God is with you, nobody can be against you. Therefore we need to walk with the LORD, seek His face and approval in all that we do , and humble ourselves before the Almighty God, so that His purpose can be fulfilled in our lives. God is the Porter and we are the clay. Psalm 100 says we should be rejoicing in the LORD because He is our Maker, and we are the sheep of His pasture. The LORD will perfect all that concerns us and our lives shall glorify Him in Jesus Name, Amen.

Prayer…LORD magnify yourself in our lives in Jesus Name, Amen.
