Jeremiah 18:4-6…And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the LORD came to me saying, “O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

Thank God for the written word of God, the word that is comforting and encouraging that day by day confirms the supremacy and sovereignty of God in the life of the created ones. Romans 15:4 says ” For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. The scripture of today is one of those scriptures that gives me comfort and joy in the God of the universe that can do all things.  He is the Creator of every thing visible and invisible, man and woman and all creatures. We were all created for his pleasures. All of us are under his dominion and can change any situation around for his pleasure. He sent Jeremiah to  the potter’s house to see what the man was doing and as the first vessel was marred in the making, the man put it back again and remade it into another vessel. All of us are clay in God’s hand, and can do exactly what the potter just did to any of us. I bend down my knees to the One who made me and reconstructed me into whom I am today, and He is still working on me because I am not there yet, but there is hope that my tomorrow will be better than today in Jesus name, Amen. I pray the same prayer for you that God in His infinite mercies will change your situation around for good, and for perfection to His glory in Christ Jesus, Amen.

Let us go into the scriptures to see examples of what God had done in many lives that can give hope today to any one that believes in God. I will only give one example today and will give other examples next time because of space ant time. Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob was recorded as a very good boy who was always reporting the bad behaviors of his ten older brothers to their father, and because of this they hated him. The father also loved him more than the others because he was the son of his favorite wife (Rachel) and he clothed him with a coat of many colors. On top of this, his dream from God also revealed that God had plan for him. All these caused so much hatred that the brothers planned to kill him at the slightest opportunity they had when he was asked to visit them in the field while they were taking care of their father’s flock. Instead of killing him, the intervention of God landed him in Egypt because they sold him to the traders who were on their way to Egypt. He became a servant to Potiphar who was one of the officers of the king of Egypt (Pharaoh). Unfortunately Potiphar’s wife had a crutch on him and wanted him to commit adultery with her. He refused and again this landed him in the prison because Potiphar’s wife lied to put him into trouble. Inside the prison he found favor with the prison guard and put him in charge of the prisoners. Two of the prisoners belonged to the king’s palace and each of them had a dream and the Lord used Joseph to interpret the dream and it happened according to the interpretation, one got killed and the other reinstated to his former position. Joseph told him to remember him when he was fully settled in his position. For two years this servant of the king did not remember Joseph, until the Lord made the king to dream and no one could interpret this dream. So the servant recalled how Joseph interpreted his dream and it happened the same way, and therefore he advised the king to send for Joseph.

Genesis 41:14 reads “Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon, and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh”. Then Pharaoh told him the dream and Joseph gave the interpretation followed by a plan that could help them to store food during the 7 years of plenty to be able to take care of the 7 years of famine. Verse 38-43 reads “And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, , a man in whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, For as much as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art. Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled; only in the throne will I be greater than thou. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand , and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck. And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had, and they cried before him, Bow knee, and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.”  Though the Bible did not tell us how many years he spent in prison, but we read that he was separated from his father and brothers when he was 17 years old. At the time he stood before Pharaoh and became second in command, he was 30 years old.  The Lord took him from PIT (where his brothers first placed him) to PRISON and from PRISON to PALACE. What a wonderful God we serve!!!. He is the only one who can change situations around for good. The LORD changed his raiment from the coat of many colors that his brother torn to pieces out of jealousy and anger and dipped in blood to show to their father that an animal might have killed him, to prison garment, which shows the lowest estate a man could get to, to fine linen (royal robe made by the king) and placed in a position of authority over a whole nation. This God is worthy of adoration. It is good to stay in tune with the word of God and create a desire to love Him and serve Him. God rewarded the righteousness of Joseph even though he suffered for 13 years, but the suffering is nothing compared to the joy that was set before him at the end of the suffering.

Beloved, this is a story that can change your life and mine if we put our hope in God and do not allow circumstances to make us bitter or put ourselves in a position to start to look for a way to revenge all wrong doings against us. We need to release everything to God and let him handle the revenge, for he says, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay”. We should continue to put our TRUST in God who is able to change every situation. We should continue to learn to do good and not harbor sin, and also continue to love and not hate any one (even our enemies). The Lord will continue to increase our faith in Him. It is well with you all.

Prayer..Lord lift me up from  my dungeon into my highest level which you have for me in Jesus name, Amen..

This word is for me. I receive it in Jesus name and I pray that God will change my raiment and raise me up as he raised Joseph.
