Hebrew 11:6..But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

When God called Abraham, he asked him to leave his country, his kindred, and his family and promised him a new beginning in a land that he would show him. This man obeyed because he had faith in the God that called him. All that God promised him came to pass. God promised to make him great and that the whole world would be blessed through him as he would become father of all nations. The two major religions on the earth today claimed Abraham as their father. He had so many challenges, he was promised a son even in his old age and though his wife had already passed child bearing age, yet Abraham held unto the promise till it came to pass, because he had faith in him who had promised that he would perform whatever he had promised. He was also asked to sacrifice his only son, believing in this God, he obeyed and was about to offer Isaac, when God called on him not to sacrifice the child and provided him with a ram as a replacement.  Because Abraham believed God it was counted to him for righteousness and became the father of faith.

For us to please God , the Bible says we must believe that He is, that is, He is what He says He is. Jesus once asked his disciples , “Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?  And they said “Some say that thou art John the Baptist, some Elias, and others Jeremias, or one of the prophets. And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ , the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:13-16). Knowing who He is plays a crucial role in the way we relate to Him. Abraham knew that the God that called him was the God of the universe that  would perform whatever He promised. Do you believe what the Bible says about Jesus Christ? Do you believe that He came so as to save us from our sins?. Do you believe that we can only get to the Father through Him (Jesus)?  Do you have the assurance that his death on the cross has removed every curse placed on you because of your belief in him? Colossians 2: 9-11 says “For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power.  In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.”  There are more scriptures even in this book that explained to us who Jesus is and what He has come to accomplish for us. Once we have this understanding, then we should exercise strong faith in Him that He would bring to pass every of His promises that we are holding on to. If Abraham could receive his promised child through Sarah (who was 90 years old), nothing that you desire shall be held back from you. Psalm 84:11 says “For the LORD God is a sun and shield, the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

Therefore, brothers and sisters, your belief in God will open doors of breakthrough for you because you place all your trust in Him.He will never disappoint you and will not cut off your expectations.of him. He says in Revelations (22:12) “And, behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” So we must walk with God in faith, so that we can please Him and receive commendation at the end. We will not miss our reward in Jesus Name, Amen,

Prayer Lord increase my faith in you so that my ways can be pleasing unto you.
