Ecclesiastes 9:11..I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill, but time and chance happeneth to them all.

The world is full of mysteries. When I read through the Bible especially when Job was asking questions from God what were the sins that he committed that caused the calamities that befell him, the answer from God was that he should also answer Him the questions He was about to ask him. In about four chapters of the book of Job (38-41) God narrated to him the beginning of the world and all that He had created, and which of these creations did he participate in and where was he when He (God) was putting everything together the way they were? By the time God finished his detailed explanation of how He put things together, Job replied in chapter 42, “I know that thou canst do every thing and that no thought can be withholden from thee. Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not, things too wonderful for me…wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes”(1-6).
This is a confirmation that our God is a Sovereign God who is in control of the whole universe. He does whatever pleases Him according to His purpose.

Many things that we have read about in the Bible or that we have seen even in the world today can not be mathematically formulated. You can not put some figures together to estimate the number of years it will take you to become X, Y and Z. Though it is already in the world’s curriculum that a child enters kindergarten at a certain age, then moves on from there to preschool, to elementary, middle, high, and college to become a successful adult. Unfortunately each child’s journey does not go the same way. I was fortunate to have a father who loved education, and tried as much as he could to get me to high school graduation, a friend of mine who was more brilliant than I was and should have continued her education to high school and to college was not allowed to continue her schooling because she was a FEMALE. The father did not think it necessary to educate a girl because she would end up being a wife that would be involved with home affairs. By the time I was in high school she was already a wife and a mother, and that was the end of her aspiration to become educated in life.
There are also other situations where some classmates of mine that dropped out of college but today, they are in a better position than I am. There are also some that graduated much later than I, and today they are in control of million dollar industry and they are still thriving. I am sure you too have a lot of examples that are overwhelming that you can point out as a testimony of what ONLY God can do. This is the reason why the Bible is the only ROAD MAP to follow on this life’s journey. You cannot use another person’s case to measure your own. You are wired as a masterpiece to reflect God’s master plan at a particular SET TIME determined only by God. Hannah was made barren by God until God’s appointed time to displace the wicked and ungodly children of Eli (Hophni, and Phinehas) by bringing Samuel to the world through her. For Esther to perform the duty assigned to her, Vashti had to make a mistake, so that Esther, who had been ordained as an instrument to save the Jews from being annihilated, could come to the scene (for such a time as this). Do not run your race based on another person’s clock. Allow God to direct you so that you too can fulfill your own time-sensitive assignment. For the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet the bread to the wise, nor the riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill, but time and chance happen to them all. God knows why He created you and for what purpose and as he told Jeremiah,”before I formed you, I knew you, and before you came out of the womb, I sanctified you, and I ordained you as a prophet unto the nations. He replied “Ah LORD God! behold, I cannot speak, for I am a child.(Jeremiah 1:5-6). Whereas Moses was called while he was 80 years old, and he too said,”I am not eloquent, I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue, (Exodus 4:10), so God should send somebody else. Do you now see that God chooses the TIME to make things happen for every one. You are all on God’s time-table and at His own appointed time, things will work in your favor in Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer..Lord help me to remember that you have written my name on the Palm of your hand and you can never forget me, and every plan you have for me you will fulfill in Jesus name, Amen.
