Psalm 125:1-2.They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about His people from henceforth even for ever.

It does not matter whether you are young or old, whether you are a christian or not, your composition demands that you put your trust in something. When you go to bed on a daily basis, you trust that you will wake up the next day. When you go out, you trust that you will return home. When you are young, you trust that one day you too will achieve some level of successes, get married, and have your own family. There are so many things that we put our trust in, for example some people put their trust in their riches, while some people put their trust in their achievements or successes. Some people put their trust in other human beings such as their parents, children or even mentors, or friends. Unfortunately many of us have regrets when we place our trust in anyone but the LORD. Many of us have experienced disappointment or failure when our trusts are placed on human beings or positions /achievements.
Those that trust in the LORD are being compared to a building of the LORD called mount Zion (Temple, synagogue),where God resides and cannot be shaken or pulled down because God dwells there. When king Solomon built the house of God in Jerusalem, he prayed that though this magnificent building that he built cannot contain God of heaven who owns the universe, he asked that His EYES be open to this house, day and night, so that anytime any of his children called upon Him, he would hear from heaven and answer their prayers. After the prayers of Solomon, God’s presence was manifested by fire from heaven that consumed the offering on the altar, and the glory of the LORD filled the house.(2 Chronicles 6:1-42)
When you trust in the LORD you are like that mount Zion that God dwells, and everything you ask the LORD will be granted to you because you have placed all your trust in Him. When you trust in the LORD you will be protected from all forms of evil. Psalm 91 enumerated many of the benefits of trusting the LORD. He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from noisome pestilence. You shall not be afraid of any terror by night, or arrow that flies by day, and none of the evil you hear of shall come near your dwelling place. He says no plague (disease) will come near you because you have made Him your habitation. He also gives you authority to tread upon lion and serpent and also surround you with warrior angels that will guide you in all your ways. What a wonderful benefits that you will enjoy from the LORD because you put your trust in Him.
There was a practical demonstration of this protection in the book of Daniel when the three friends were asked to bow down to a statue made by Nebuchadnezzar. They refused to do this because they can only bow to God of Israel who created heaven and earth. The king therefore told them the consequences of disobeying Him, and that is putting them in Furnace (fire). They told the king that the God they serve would deliver them, and even if he didn’t, they were ready to die in the fire rather than bow down to the golden image (statue). The Son of God showed up in the fire to deliver them. The scripture says the three men Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were bound and thrown into the fiery furnace, and even those people that threw them into the fire were killed, but they were not hurt. Nebuchadnezzar said “Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God (Daniel 3:25). Our God is our REFUGE, BUCKLER, SHIELD, and a very present Help in trouble. His promises never change, He is still doing the same today, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today and forever (Hebrew 13:8). They that trust in the LORD shall be like mount Zion that cannot be moved but abides forever. Please put your absolute trust in the LORD Jesus Christ, He will never disappoint you nor fail you. It is well with you.

Prayer..Lord give me the grace to trust you all the days of my life.
