Job 14:7..For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease.
The different seasons in America, Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer together with the physical changes that follow these seasons confirm the word of God quoted in the scripture above. This drastic climatic change was not that apparent in Africa, (Nigeria at least) and the first time I witnessed the bare trees turning green at the outset of Spring season kept me wondering about the awesomeness of God. The dryness and the emptiness of trees all around us during this period (Fall) have helped me to appreciate the power of God to change any situation around for good. We then wonder what was going on underneath the earth from the root to the stem and the branches. What kept them alive despite their pitiable appearance was the same natural power of God that is beyond our comprehension. The Bible says “With God all things are possible”. As long as the trees are still rooted in the earth, even if the tree is cut down, it will sprout again.
This now assures me that there is no bad or ugly situation that cannot be reversed. Even when it seems as if you have prayed and there is no visible change, yet God is working behind the scene to bring solution to the problem. So if there is hope for a tree, then there is hope for any one that believes and trusts God because God works in mysterious ways that none of us can explain. A situation that a woman with issue of blood had spent all her earnings on and no doctor could find solution to it for 12 years, came to an end at the touch of Jesus’s garment, because she said “if I could touch the hem of his garment I will be made whole”.(Matthew 9:20-21). The case of Lazarus’ s sickness was recorded in John 11. Martha and Mary and Lazarus were friends of Jesus and when they informed Him that Lazarus was sick and that He should come and heal him, He delayed His coming until the man died and was already stinking for 4 days. When the Lord appeared on the scene, He raised the dead man (Lazarus) back to life. Jesus told Martha and Mary, “I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.”
So brothers and sisters, do not lose hope or give up on your situation, if a tree that is cut down can sprout again, you will surely smile again. Psalm 30:5 says, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” And in His time, He makes all things beautiful, and He will beautify your life and every long awaited promise will come to pass soon in Jesus Name, Amen.
Prayer..Lord remember your promises and bring solution to my situation soon so that your glory can be seen in my life and people will know that I am serving a living God.Amen.
