Psalm 1: 1..Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Everyday we make decisions. Life is worth living when you know how to make good decisions because the decisions you make today will have impact on your tomorrow. You don’t want to live a life of regret or a life that is filled with sorrow. For you to live a happy life is to allow the maker (Creator, God) to be the full controller of your life. When you hand over your life to Him (that is you are born again), God goes to the Driver seat of your life. He knows the way because He is the way. He knows what He has created you to do for Him, and He knows how to take you from one point to the other so that you can fulfill your destiny.
As you now embark upon this journey of life, you will meet many people on the way. The kind of people you meet and your interactions with them will determine how successful you will be and how quickly you will be able to achieve your goals. If you walk with those who are self-centered, or those that do not see anything good in other people, and all they do is to pull people down, criticize and always find faults, then your outlook on life will be distorted. You will not be able to think positively about life and also will not be able to see yourself as God sees you. You will doubt your ability to ever achieve anything good. These people, the Bible says are ungodly. They do not see things in God’s way and therefore they cannot please God. They are sinners and the scornful. Many of them do not know that it is sin to judge other people because they themselves are not perfect. When you walk with them you cannot receive the blessings that God has earmarked for you.
Therefore brothers and sisters, don’t allow the attitude of these ones rub on you. Attitudes are contagious. Walk among those who believe in what God can do through you, those that can encourage you, and lift you up through the word of God. Do not think that every one that goes to church is a godly person or a saint. Judas Iscariot was one of the disciples of Jesus, and yet he was evil. Choose your friends wisely and the Lord will lead you to fulfill your destiny in life in Jesus Name. Amen.
