1 Samuel 2:1..And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoices in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD, my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation.
Hannah was a woman who went through challenges of life. The Bible says the LORD shut up her womb and she did not have children while Peninnah, the second wife, had children. The Bible called this second wife her enemy (adversary). We could testify to the fact that Hannah lived a godly life and her barrenness was from the LORD. Not only was she barren, the second wife made life unbearable for her in the same house with the same husband. What else could be so humiliating when you are serving the LORD and you could see another person like you enjoying all the goodness of God and you wonder what you are doing wrong.
This is a lesson for us all to know that certain things happen that the Sovereign LORD has the full control over and the main purpose was to give all the glory to Him. Hannah understood this and took her problems to the LORD who is the author of life. She was not angry with her husband that married a second wife because she could not give him a child. She was not angry with Peninnah despite her provocation. She was not angry with Eli the priest when he thought that she was drunk while she was pouring her heart to the LORD. She did not blame God either for all that she was going through.
The beautiful outcome of her cries to God is for us to emulate her attitude to God and people around us no matter what we are going through. The Bible says..weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Because of her attitude the LORD rewarded Hannah with many children, and Samuel was dedicated to God as she vowed and Samuel became a great prophet and priest of God. What a testimony of a godly woman of God. Her enemy was silenced by the miracle of this son so also God will fight your battle if you cast your burdens on God alone, and you will rejoice like Hannah. God bless you.
